Beautiful people? Believe it or not, the same God created them and you.
Every now and then when I run out of oil, the Lord constantly reminds me that He's more than sufficient for me. Every now and then when I think that my problems are so big that I can drown in them forever, He reminds me that the world is so huge, yet my world is in the palm of His hands.
He knows my name. He knows the name of every single human being in the universe. And because He is God, he never forsakes.
One day when I freed from doing work, I'll tour the world with my husband. I'll force him to visit places like Egypt, Greece, Africa and whatever that comes to mind, with me. Even if it is not up to us to bring the good news to the lost that God loves so dearly, I'll go to see how much love and compassion my Lord has for His creation.
At one point of time there was an email going on about
Michael Guglielmucci, the song composer of Healer, and the guy who performed the song on stage with an oxygen tube. I loved (and still love) that song because it's applicable to me. The email said that his cancer story was a pack of lies, when the song already became an anthem of faith for other believers who were battling with their own illnesses. He fooled hundreds of thousands of people, including his wife and children. Imagine how I felt when I read that email.
But quickly, the Lord came to my mind. I started asking Him why could such atrocities happen and blah blah. I thought He'd tell me things like "Yes, stop singing that stupid song, foolish people". Unexpectedly, He just replied me a very wise thing. "Michael Guglielmucci's tale and you singing the song are two separate issues. There is nothing wrong with the song. Your father is pleased and delighted when you sing the song to me, because you sing it to me with a sincere and earnest heart. Mean what you sing, and you're in good hands."
Months later, just a couple of weeks ago,
Steven Seow talked the song again. And the message was once again brought across, that we sing the song to the Lord because we mean the words, and not because we base our faith on Michael Guglielmucci's faith. Our faith is not on his cancer story nor the song, our faith is in the Lord.
And then I remembered, the Lord has been a good God. He is the wisest, and His ways are perfect.
You hold my every moment,You calm my raging seas. You walk with me through the fire, You heal all my disease.I trust in You. I believe You're my healer, I believe You are all I need. I believe You're my portion, I believe You're more than enough for me, Jesus You're all I need. Nothing is impossible for You, Nothing is impossible. Nothing is impossible for You, You hold my world in Your hands.
